IHSA football playoffs 2024: Complete brackets, schedule, scores

The complete schedule for the 2024 Illinois High School Association football playoffs will appear here later Saturday, listed class-by-class and in bracket order.

The full field of 256 playoff teams has been announced. Pairings for the eight 32-team fields are scheduled to be announced starting at 8 p.m. on ihsa.org or on your local broadcast station. We will update this file when the playoff field is announced and when each bracket is set.

First-round games are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2.

Here are the 256 teams that have made the Illinois high school football playoffs in 2024, listed with overall record, playoff points and defeated opponents' wins. Only one team with a losing record made the field.

Here is every team in the Journal Star area that are expected to be part of the field of 256 on Saturday, listed with record and possible playoff opponent, according to IHSA bracket guru Steve Soucie. Teams with six or more wins are guaranteed entry. Teams with five wins are playoff eligible and are virtually guaranteed a playoff spot.

The playoff predictions are from Soucie of Friday Night Drive, who will adjust his predictions as scores come in Saturday. These predictions are as of 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
