Springfield moves on in elimination bracket

MANKATO — Springfield shut out Mankato Loyola 3-0 on Saturday in a Section 2A Baseball Tournament elimination bracket game at ISG Field.

Jakob Nachreiner pitched all seven innings in the win for the Tigers, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out 12.

Kade Nachreiner was 2 for 3 for Springfield, while Ashtin Johnson was 1 for 2 with two RBIs.

Springfield will play Sleepy Eye St. Mary's in the elimination bracket semifinals at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Mankato East High School.
