Tears of the Kingdom Midna Helmet Guide
Twilight Princess’ Midna won't be around to guide Link through Tears of the Kingdom, but she did leave a piece of gear behind for him in the Depths.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is full of callbacks to previous Zelda games -- especially in terms of equipment sets that can be found within the Depths. One such interesting piece of equipment is Midna's Helmet, the headgear worn by Link's companion of the same name from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
In Twilight Princess, Midna is the Princess of the Twili people, and Link's unlikely guide throughout his adventure. Her signature helmet -- one of the Fused Shadows -- is key to defeating the evil wizard Zant and helping release the curse he placed on Midna and her people. While the threat of Zant has long passed before the events of Tears of the Kingdom take place, Midna's Fused Shadow can still be of use to Link in helping him defeat the forces of Ganon this time around.

Midna's Helmet has a strong 7 base defense, and gives the wearer one heart worth of Gloom protection. Unfortunately, it cannot be upgraded at a Great Fairy Fountain. However, because it's a one-of-one item, if Link does happen to lose or sell Midna's Helmet, he can always buy it back at one of the Bargainer Statues, or at the Hateno Village equipment shop after completing the quest there.
In order to get Midna's Helmet, Link will have to locate the Lone Island Coliseum in Hyrule's Depths and defeat the monsters there. In particular, Link will have to face off against five waves of Bokoblins. The first wave will consist of two red Bokoblins, with the second wave sending out three Blue Bokoblins. After that, Link will face two Black Bokoblins in the third wave which -- after they're defeated -- will be followed up by one Silver Bokoblin. Finally, the fifth and final wave will task Link with having to face off against a diverse mixture of one Red, one Blue, one Black and one Silver Bokoblin.
Like all monsters in the Depths, the Bokoblins in the Lone Island Coliseum will deal Gloom damage if they hit Link. Thus, wearing Gloom protective gear or packing plenty of meals cooked with Sundelions can be a lifesaver. Other than that, these Bokoblins act in the same way as all others on the surface, so the fights should be pretty straightforward. After defeating the final wave, the Gloom surrounding the chest in the center of the Coliseum will be dispelled, and Link will find Midna's Helmet inside.

The Lone Island Coliseum is in the Depths to the far southeast (coordinates 4562, -3620, -0471), parallel to Eventide Island on the Surface. Unfortunately, there is no way to reach the Coliseum from anywhere other than through the chasm on Eventide Island. Thus, players will have to travel there first.
The easiest way to get to Eventide is to head to Necluda to the southeast, passed Lurelin village, to the very tip of Soka Point. From here, either build a boat or flying machine to cross the Necluda Sea to the island to the east: this is Eventide Island. Once on the island, the chasm is at the furthest point to the north. The Lone Island Coliseum will be very close by (just due south) after falling through the chasm. The battle for Midna's Helmet will begin immediately when Link approaches the treasure chest in the center of the Coliseum.
