Kansas High School Football Playoff Brackets Released – Ad Astra Radio | Your Hometown Radio Stations & Local News Source
The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) has released the high school football playoff brackets following the conclusion of the regular season Friday, Oct. 25.
The postseason begins with the first round games taking place Thurs., Oct. 31 and Fri., Nov. 1. The State Championship games will take place Fri., Nov. 29 and Sat., Nov. 30.
It’s the first time that the championship games will take place on multiple days as three sites will each host three classifications. The 6-4A championship games will take place at Emporia State’s Welch Stadium, 3-1A’s games will be at Hutchinson CC’s Gowans Stadium, and the 8-Man & 6-Man games will take place at Kiowa County High School’s field in Greensburg.
The 2024 edition of the playoffs features the new format for 3-1A seeding, listing the champions of their respective districts 1-4 in the state, the 2nd place teams 5-8, 3rd place 9-12, and 4th place 13-16.
